1Password for iOS gets password generation inside 1Browser on iPad, improved searching and sharing

Password management app 1Password has been updated to version 4.2 on iOS, featuring improved search capabilities, new sharing features and the ability to generate complex passwords inside of the app’s built-in browser on iPad.

1Password hasn’t received a major update since its redesign back in December 2012, and this free update features a number of changes. For starters, the iPad version’s Web Mode, now dubbed “1Browser,” has been re-tooled. 1Password details that its “Strong Password Generator” is now built into the browser (shown below), and the app’s go & fill bookmarks are also included.

Here’s another particularly interesting addition: 1Password has made it quite easy to share passwords. Of course, the company cautions that password sharing isn’t something to take lightly — we agree.

Rounding out the new features, both iPhone and iPad users are now able to search by URL. This update is rolling out now, and you can download it immediately via the link below.
