Video chat app Tango reaches 100M users; adds iPad support, photo editing, and more

Watch out Skype, Tango’s video chat is gaining on you.

Tango announced today that it has surpassed 100 million registered users. To celebrate, the company is also launching a revamped version of its mobile apps, which finally bring full iPad support for iOS and a revamped design. The iPhone version has also added photo editing capabilities, powered by New York City’s Aviary.

Twitterrific 5.1 brings new features and fixes, teases push notifications en route



Twitterrific 5, the popular new version of The Iconfactory’s Twitter client, has been updated to version 5.1. The update introduces several new features and fixes. One of the new features, which you see in the video above, is the ability to mute, or “muffle,” hashtags, users, and even URL domain names. The full change log is lengthy, and even hints at push notifications coming in the next update:

Skype for iPad: Auto reconnection of dropped calls, add cash to account and more

Skype users who use an iPad for the majority of their calls will want to grab the latest update to the iOS version of the app, which was rolled out on Monday.


New features in version 4.5 include the automatic reconnection of dropped calls when your Wi-Fi or mobile reception is poor and the ability to add funds to your Skype account directly from the app.
