You’re probably sick of Kickstarter projects that turn your iPad or iPad mini into a giant camera, so here’s something a little different. It’s an iPad mini camera rig, but this one is actually available to buy. Now. From Amazon.
To be completely clear, the iOgrapher was a Kickstarter project, but that was back in the dark days of The Past.
The iOgrapher is a polycarbonate case for the iPad mini which adds a couple of handles and a whole lot of mounts, letting you add tripods, lights, microphones and even accessory lenses. In fact, even if you’re not using the iPad to shoot movies, those handles look like they could be, uh, pretty handy for all kinds of other purposes.
There’s also a bigger case, also for $65, which will fit the bigger iPad 3 or 4 and offer all the same features. Both are available now, in a whole range of bright colors (although white is currently back ordered).
